Combined Visual + Audio BLS

Visual dot synced with alternating left/right audio tones. Dual-channel BLS for clients who benefit from multiple modalities.

This is a reference tool, not a replacement for EMDR therapy. EMDR must be delivered by a trained clinician. If you are using these tools outside of therapy and become distressed, stop, ground yourself, and contact a mental health professional.

Before you start

  • Photosensitive epilepsy warning: this tool uses sustained horizontal motion.
  • Headphones required for audio component.
  • Not recommended for home use without clinician supervision.
⚠ Photosensitive epilepsy and headphone warnings apply. Use in clinician-supervised sessions only.

This tool uses motion by design. If that's uncomfortable, consider the audio-only or butterfly-hug tool instead.

What this is

Combines the moving visual dot and alternating stereo tones into a single synchronized experience. Audio can be toggled on or off without restarting the visual.

When to use it

Clinical notes

Visual and audio are driven from the same internal clock — when the dot hits the left edge, a left-panned tone plays; right edge, right tone. Audio can be muted on the fly via the checkbox.
